EXPERIENCE FROM STERN WAKE MEASUREMENTS DURING SEA TRIAL
In rough seas the velocity field in front of the propeller on a 125,000 cu m LNG carrier was measured. Wake fields at four different propeller load conditions, including idling propeller are shown. A presentation of the test equipment is given, and the analysis of the data is described. Improvements for future tests are discussed.
