Introduction to Trends in Infrastructure Regulation and Financing. International Experience and Case Studies from Germany
The objective of this book is to provide a balanced presentation of recent international trends in infrastructure regulation and financing. It focuses on national wide studies of traditionally reform-oriented countries (the UK and Argentina) and newcomers in infrastructure sector reform, mainly Germany. In doing so, the book relates recent theoretical advances to the empirical analysis of real-world issues in the international context and it extends the frontier of the analysis of successful and failed attempts at reform. Whereas the main topics of the book are regulation and finance, the book is also interested in institutional change and the interplay between governance of infrastructure sectors and reform outcomes.
