Vibration Study for the New Addition at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The St. Luke’s Medical Center Cardiac Center and Patient Tower Project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin consists of constructing a multi-story structure over an existing parking garage. Structural Affiliates International, Inc. was retained to analyze the structural system conceived by the structural engineer of record and evaluate the vibration potential. The study consisted of accurately modeling the structural system so that the dynamic behavior of the structure, such as the natural frequencies and natural modes of vibration, could be determined. This paper presents the results of the vibration study.
