Luas Sceptics Climb on Board

This article focuses on Dublin, Ireland's Luas light rail transportation system and its growing popularity, primarily due to Dublin's growing economy, population, and home ownership. Although the proposal initially caused dissent from many of Dublin's residents who weren't convinced of the system's utility, it currently enjoys a broad satisfaction among the population. Luas is comprised of two routes: the Red line that travels from Connolly and Heuston to Red Cow and Tallaght, while the Green Line travels from Sandyford to St. Stephen's Green. Extensions are planned for the Sandyford end of the Green Line, which will effectively extend it down to Cherrywood, and later as far as Shankill. The Red Line is also making improvements, although these are primarily in the area of improving service time.
