The Renaissance Continues
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has experienced phenomenal growth since 2002. This article describes how a $9.4 billion public-private redevelopment program has improved and enhanced the airport's facilities. New and renovated terminals offer an array of amenities for travelers, and airport access has been improved through a reconfigured roadway and a new rail system. A contract also has recently been awarded to modify JFK's airfield to support the next generation of large aircraft.
