Failures of train doors are the biggest single cause of delay and disruption of rail transit service; therefore, in-depth study and analysis of train door problems can lead to significant increases in the reliability of transit service. This Web document contains the Appendixes to this study, which was published in TCRP Research Results Digest 74, "Train Door Systems Analysis."
