Development of Train Traffic Rescheduling System Considering Crew and Vehicle Operation
In this paper, the authors describe the development of a train traffic rescheduling system that would involve the rescheduling of crews and vehicles, thus facilitating the recovery of train schedules impacted by vehicle failures or accidents. This system is designed to capture information such as previous train schedules and train operations, and any anticipated changes. It would use this information to predict and display the train operation status , and reschedule train traffic while keeping track of the current status of train use by passengers. The authors describe the train traffic rescheduling algorithm and simulator that were developed, as well as the man-machine interface for evaluating train schedules.
