Public and Private Partnerships. The Worldwide Revolution in Infrastructure Provision and Project Finance
This book discusses Public Private Partnerships (PPP’s). The book uses case studies to reflect the “hands-on” experience and looks at the literature on PPP’s in three groups. The first is the engineering dimension that reflects practitioner material. The second is the academic literature which stems from economics, finance and public policy. The third type of literature used are government and independent reports and guidance documents. The book discusses the nature of partnerships, the revolution in infrastructure, the origins of partnerships, partnerships and conventional procurement of infrastructure, the structure of partnership agreements, risk management, the governance of partnerships, PPP’s in emerging markets and gives an overall assessment of PPP’s.
