Weigh to go
The Supaweigh system from Central Weighing Ltd is an axle weighing platform that can cope with up to 240,000 kgs on six axles. Supaweigh is now UK and EC approved Class 111 and has gained OIML R134 Class approval. The company has installed over 4,000 weighers in 40 countries. It is able to weigh over 9,000 vehicles per day, without causing traffic bottlenecks and delays. During weighing, the system captures the driver, vehicle, operator and load details that are automatically transmitted with the net weights by modem each hour to a central processing unit. In Asia, Supaweigh has been integrated into a toll plaza to detect and calculate the overload on each truck on the highway. The weighing technology and software have now been incorporated into advanced portable weight in motion systems called Cheklode and Freeweigh. These are suitable for inner city enforcement where overloading of light vans and trucks is a problem.
