National Highway Safety Forum Proceedings
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) convened a one-day Highway Safety Leadership Forum in Lexington, Kentucky, on June 2, 2003, to address the issue of highway safety. These are the proceedings of the forum. The forum covered highway safety improvement programs; traffic accidents, accident rates and fatality rates; alcohol related fatalities; commercial vehicle related accidents; highway infrastructure related fatalities; pedestrian and cyclist fatalities; seat belt use; impaired and aggressive drivers; emergency responses; work zone safety; and traffic law enforcement.
