Performance Improvement Through Error Analysis of Mobile Mapping System
The design of Graphic Information System(GIS) in various applications is suffering from the difficulty of data acquisition, which is labor-intensive and time consuming. In order to provide the spatial data rapidly and accurately, 4S-Van, mobile mapping system, has been developed. In this paper, we present a performance improvement through error analysis of mobile mapping system. Furthermore, we present four issues that make major contributions to the performance of MMS. In the experimental results, the performance of MMS was analyzed for issues, giving an idea how to effectively design and integrate each component for developing MMS to get a maximal accuracy of 3D coordinates.
