Traffic monitoring using vehicle probes

The objective of this project is to demonstrate the use of Hwy 407 ETR transponder - equipped vehicles as freeway network traffic probes. Dedicated short range communications (DSRC) readers are being installed on Hwy 409 and Hwy 427 to read transponder identification for purposes of calculating link travel times. (A)
