Integrated Adaptive Urban Traffic Control System with Public Transport Management System in the Bucharest E-BISUT Project
For the first time in the eastern part of Europe, an adaptive UTC system integrated with a PTM System will be designed and installed in Bucharest, Romania. This work will be undertaken within the e-BISUT (environmental Bucharest Integrated system for Sustainable Urban Transport) project initiated by the Bucharest Municipality. In the same time the open ITS BUCUR platform for the ITS services will be developed. Upon installation, the traffic control technology in Bucharest will be a World Leader having taken advantage of the lessons learnt elsewhere, being able to choose the best technology from the World market, and having the opportunity to commence the work without the need to adapt legacy systems.
