SOME FACTORS AFFECTING THE PROPERTIES OF UNSTABILIZED LAYERS, ESPECIALLY GRAVEL WEARING COURSES. A STUDY OF LITERATURE
NAAGRA FAKTORER SOM PAAVERKAR EGENSKAPERNA HOS OSTABILISERADE LAGER, SAERSKILT GRUSLAGER. EN LITTERATURSTUDIE
A study of international literature concerning the properties of unstabilized layers, especially gravel wearing courses, was carried out. The following main factors were studied: particle size distribution, the quality of gravel and binder soil and their effect on bearing and wear properties. The influence of organic materials coming from roadsides at grading maintenance is dealt with. Effects of dust binder on matrerial properties is discussed. /TRRL/
