Transport telematics
This inset on transport telematics contains reports based on presentations to the seminar held by the Road User Charging Interest Group in London, UK in March 2005. The individual reports address the following: testing of road charging systems in Copenhagen in Denmark; free flow toll collection in Santiago de Chile; trials of congestion charging technology (GPS, cameras) in London, UK; barriers to interoperability in the integration of road user charging (RUC) with urban traffic management and control (UTMC); and 'hot topics' in transport telematics (Smart Moving and Traffex, commercial vehicle telematics, and the Lorry Road User Charging scheme).
