Draft advice for users of Compact MOVA
Compact MOVA is a set of improvements to the MOVA adaptive traffic signal control system. These allow vehicle IN-detectors to be omitted from low-speed approaches where the 85th percentile speed is no higher than 35mph, reducing installation and maintenance costs. This report contains information and advice for prospective users of Compact MOVA, including: situations where a Compact MOVA approach may be desirable; detailed instructions on how to configure a Compact MOVA approach; and expected junction behaviour and performance when MOVA is running with Compact approaches. Please contact TRL if you are planning to use Compact MOVA. (A)
