This manual provides details on modelling road deterioration and works effects in the Highway Development and Management (HDM-4) model. It is one of seven volumes in the suite of HDM-4 documentation. It is intended for use by specialists interested in technical issues or responsible for setting up the HDM model. It porvideds the full background to the development and theoretical basis for the models in HDM-4 used for road deterioration and road works effects. This manual (volume 6) contains five sections: concepts and approach; bituminous pavements; concrete pavements; block pavements; and unsealed pavements.
