Tight curve problems and the attempts to solve them at Caxton Curve on London Underground's Central Line.

This paper reviews the findings from a trial site for a new track form for tight curves in use on the Central Line of London Underground. It discusses the history of the site, the historical problems relating to track maintenance at the site and the solutions developed to overcome these problems and the results obtained after three years in service.
