Communication Requirements of Inter-Vehicle Communications for Safety Applications
In order to reduce traffic accidents, many actions have been taken from different fields. In these efforts, they are expecting the efficiency of reduction for inter-vehicle communications and have been developing the communication protocol in the world. In this paper, we selected four collisions, different direction collision at intersection, rear-end collision, turn-right collision and opposite direction collision which has higher number of casualty as target applications and considered the characteristics of radio-wave-spread at real circumstance by using measurements and simulations. We propose the communication requirement of inter-vehicle communication system.
