An Analysis of Fishing Vessel Accidents
Accident data was collected from the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (UK) and an analysis was conducted to determine the most common causes of accidents on fishing vessels. This article describes fishing vessel-safety assessments in terms of machinery damage, foundering/flooding, grounding, collisions, fires and explosions, capsizing, and heavy weather damage.
