National Transportation Safety Board Safety Recommendation, H-05-17

This safety recommendation, addressed to the Honorable Jeffrey W. Runge, M.D., Administrator, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), concerns tread depth of commercial vehicle tires. The National Transportation Safety Board makes the following recommendation to NHTSA: (H-05-17) Conduct testing on the effects of differing tread depths for the steer and drive axle tires.
