The study of dynamic user-equilibrium traffic assignment
This study examines a number of critical issues in the formulation and solution of the dynamic user equilibrium (DUE) traffic assignment problem. Issues discussed include: consistency conditions in modelling network dynamics; delay-function-based link models; comparing analytical link models; development of an asynchronous network loading strategy; and, comparing a collection of dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) algorithms.
