WORLD LNG-TRADE AND THE COMPETITIVENESS OF PRESENT AND PROJECTED PRICES

Projections of both United States and international LNG-trade are compared and analyzed. A world LNG-trade between 6.8 and 12.3 million cu ft/day is possible by 1985. The effect of federal and state government policy and actions is reviewed, and it is feared that President Carter's National Energy Plan, if carried out, could seriously restrict LNG imports to the United States.
