Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity of Compacted Recycled Asphalt Pavement
This paper focuses on the saturated hydraulic conductivity of three granular recycled asphalt pavements (RAPs) used as base course aggregate. Hydraulic conductivity is an important parameter for base course materials because pavement life is affected by the ability of the base to drain. The objective is to describe the saturated hydraulic conductivity of compacted RAP to that of a conventional base course aggregate used in Wisconsin, and to evaluate whether three common methods to estimate the saturated hydraulic conductivity of granular materials can be used to predict the saturated hydraulic conductivity of the RAPs.
