Epoxy Coated Reinforcement and Crack Control
The objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of epoxy coating on crack spacing and crack widths. Ten slabs reinforced with both black and epoxy coated reinforcements were tested. Of particular interest was the effect of the thickness of the epoxy coating and the spacing of the reinforcement. The variables included the epoxy coating thickness, reinforcement spacing, and reinforcement stress. The results clearly demonstrate that epoxy coating increases cboth rack widthsand spacing.
