PARAMETERS OF FUEL JET EXTRACTION IN VIDEO
This paper describes a method for detecting fuel jet formation in order to measure the fuel dispersion in an engine chamber to better understand the best way to get the most efficient combustion of fuel. A videoscan is used to investigate the optical dissimilarities in fuel jet dispersion which defines the character of fuel jet extraction. A special program allows processing the data from the image to determine the length of fuel flow. Illustrations show how initial images can be processed to create a statistical rating of the jet. That allows allocation of zones with homogeneous brightness which define the distribution of masses and the concentration in the fuel jet. The process allows for the use of the experimental bench for registration and processing of a fuel jet image under real-time manufacturing conditions.
