Proceedings of the Sixth National Workshop for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists

The 6th National Workshop for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists was held from May 27 to 29, 2004, at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Sponsored by Transport Canada (through TDC) and the Capital Health Authority of Alberta, the workshop attracted approximately 200 professionals from across Canada to share knowledge and experience related to assessing driving skills, training drivers, licensing and regulations, and prescribing vehicle modifications for drivers with disabilities. Abstracts are provided in both English and French. The workshop featured a wide range of presentations given by and for occupational therapists, driving instructors, dealers specializing in modified vehicles, researchers, and people from related agencies such as road safety, licensing authorities, vehicle modifiers, and rehabilitation specialists for persons with disabilities.
