Smart Transportation in Las Vegas, Nevada
This conference presentation discusses the goals of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, and the strategies and tactics that have been pursued to attain those goals, which are basically focused on some of the principles of smart growth. One of the barriers to smart growth in Las Vegas is that Las Vegas has gated communities. There is only one access point into and out of these gated communities.
