PROPERTIES OF AGGREGATES
PROPRIETES DES GRANULATS
The author discusses the 5 main characteristics of aggregates: granularity; shape and angularity of particles; cleanliness; adhesion; mechanical strength. The importance of each property is examined according to the use to which the aggregates are put, and methods of evaluating the characteristics described. A table recapitulates the above data, and brief mention is made of the standards governing the supply of aggregates. /TRRL/
