THE MARSK II PROJECT: DEVELOPMENT OF A SYSTEM OF MARITIME SKILLS TRAINING THROUGH INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES. IN: MARINE TECHNOLOGY IV
This paper describes the work of the MARSK 2 Project, which is partly-funded by the European Commission under the Leonardo da Vinci Programme and was undertaken by a European consortium of education and training facilitators led by Marinetech South Ltd. The MARSK 2 project aims to provide computer-based pilot distance learning courses to meet skill needs in maritime industries. More specifically, the project aims to demonstrate that computer-based distance learning courses can be written, published, and validated by groups of training providers across Europe, thereby utilizing relevant expertise to explore different styles and methods of delivering learning to the industry and demonstrate the advantages of such learning methods.
