SUMMER TRANSPORTATION INSTITUTE: SHOWING THE STUDENTS A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITIES IN TRANSPORTATION
This paper gives an overview of the 1st Summer Transportation Institute (STI) managed by the Civil Infrastructure Research Center at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. The objective of this program was to expose a group of high school students to the many employment opportunities available in different modes of transportation. The program was considered to be a success.
