LOS ANGELES HARBOR AND LONG BEACH HARBOR: PLAN OF STUDY
A comprehensive study plan was developed that included the following objectives: determine the incidence and severity of troublesome oscillations in the present harbor complex, investigate tidal circulation characteristics of the present and improved harbors, determine optimum plans for future expansions to provide safe and economical berthing areas, and analyze effects of proposed expansions on existing harbors.
