JDC LAUNCHES FIFTH WHITE DRAGON
Japan Drilling Co. (JDC)'s newest and largest offshore rig which is ideally suited to deep drilling in rough-weather areas is highlighted here. The mobile, self-propelled semisubmersible is now drilling for Gulf in the Sea of Japan. Specifications, the riser system and drilling equipment of the new rig which is capable of drilling to 30,000 ft in 1,650 ft of water are briefly discussed.
