INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS IN THE NETHERLANDS: OPPORTUNITIES AND POSSIBILITIES IN REGIONAL CITY AREAS
The province of Noord-Brabant plays an active part in promoting innovative passenger transport. This is anchored in the ambitious public transport renewal programme Passenger Transport for Tomorrow. The province's approach focuses on co-operation, exchange of knowledge and practical support. Automatic passenger transport holds considerable potential for the province. The capital of Brabant, 's-Hertogenbosch, will host a conference this year discussing a detailed case study of possibilities for implementing various options, including automatic passenger transport. The conference will be presenting a general review of the opportunities and possibilities of a development scheme. For the covering abstract see IRRD E114174.
