HOW TO SELECT A WEB-BASED PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A plethora of web-based project management and collaboration systems exists for construction contractors. This article provides guidelines on how to choose a system. Talking to current users of various systems can be a good first step in system selection. System features should be considered more important than elaborate graphics or user interfaces. One important feature to look for is central data collection, which allows senior team members to review summaries of several projects at once. System speed, technology infrastructure, vendor reliability, support and training are also essential considerations.
