ROAD TRANSPORT VS. RO-RO: A MODELLISTIC APPROACH TO FREIGHT MODAL CHOICE
Because of the rapid growth in transportation demand (both in freight and passenger traffic) during the last few years, and because of the prevalent use of road transport on major highways and state roads, a lot of congestion is visible. This congestion results in a low level of service and high social costs.
