IMPORTANCE OF THE DYNAMICS OF ELECTROMECHANICAL POWER-CONVERTORS IN MARINE AUTOMATION AND DRIVE-MECHANISM TECHNOLOGY
After a general discussion on the need to determine, for design purposes, the dynamic characteristics of electromechanical power-convertors for automated electric drives, and on procedures for doing so, the Authors explain the procedures in detail with an example of an asynchronous motor (for driving a ship's winch) in a pulse-controlled subsynchronous static Kramer system. It is shown that even quasi-steady processes in such drive installations need special consideration for a clear understanding of operational behaviour. Order from: BSRA as No. 47,796.
