PUBLIC-PRIVATE JOINT DEVELOPMENT AT RAPID TRANSIT STATIONS
One of the most important factors to be considered in planning and encouraging urban development is location. Yet, location must also be accessible, which means that transportation is one of the major stimulants for metropolitan development. The essential ingredients of successful joint public-private development at rapid transit stations are addressed in this article. Also reviewed are the actual experiences that several North American cities have had with joint development.
