STUDY OF THE BRUSH-COLLECTOR SYSTEM

ESTUDIO DEL SISTEMA DE ESCOBILLA-COLECTOR

The author attempts to list basic scientific principles which could be used to combat the many problems inherent in the brush-collector system. He describes the various elements of the system, and goes on to discuss the physical and chemical phenomena which occur, with an analysis of the most interesting effects. The article ends with a discussion of collector maintenance checking methods for direct current railway tractive units.
