DRIVING SIMULATOR FOR THE TRAINING OF LOCOMEN

SIMULATEUR DE CONDUITE POUR LE PERFECTIONNEMENT DU PERSONNEL DE MACHINES

The development of automatic signal-repeater and speed control systems, as well as higher running speeds, have brought to light the problem of what new methods to use for training enginemen. A satisfactory solution, involving a cab simulator, has now been devised. This simulator offers such advantages that the FSS have ordered a prototype unit for use in training. The purpose of this article is to describe the features and working of the simulator.
