FREIGHT MODAL SPLIT: ESTIMATION RESULTS AND MODEL IMPLEMENTATION
This report, as a follow-up to the previous report, presents the results of the model estimation task. The final commodity-specific model split models are presented, followed by a discussion of their implications. These models are embedded within a larger Geographic Information System (GIS) based modeling system, the development of which is also presented here. This model system is intended to forecast the effects of port expansions, market changes, and network changes on the statewide transportation network.
