ELSINORE BUILDS EUROPE'S FIRST CARGO/TRAINING VESSEL

The 12 800 tdw cargo/training vessel "Jose Marti" has a length oa of 149.10 m, a beam of 20.80 m, a draft of 9.00 m and is powered by an Elsinore-B&W type 5K67GF diesel engine developing 9 400 bhp at 145 rpm giving a speed of 16.7 knots. Grain capacity is 540,00 cubic ft. The vessel has been designed as a general cargoship with training facilities for 200 cadets, 30 teachers and a regular crew of 63.
