EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR ITS WORK
This article discusses a new National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Transportation partnership that offers grants for innovative, long-term, basic transportation research on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Nine grants have been awarded to date in conjunction with this partnership. These grants, relating to a variety of ITS applications, are listed and their basic research aims are described.
