PRINCIPLE OF A TRACK SWITCH EQUIPMENT OPERATED WITHOUT CONTACT BY THE PREMAGNETISATION OF AN INDUCTION COIL
KONZIPIERUNG EINES KONTAKTLOS ARBEITENDEN GLEISSCHALTMITTELS AUF DER GRUNDLAGE EINER VORMAGNETISIERTEN DROSSELSPULE
The article recalls the drawbacks of the conventional mechanical pedal, especially for operating axle counters, and then explains the theory of magnetic control by means of a circuit in which an acoustic frequency generator, a resistance and an induction coil are mounted in series. The control action is effected when the permeability of the induction coil is changed by the field of a permanent magnet of which the magnetic circuit is closed when wheel flanges pass over it.
