SHIPPING INFORMATION SERVICES
The economics and technical requirements of today's shipping world have created a growing need for precise data. To meet this need, two of the world's leading authorities on shipping information have linked their resources: Lloyd's of London Press Ltd (the publishing subisidary of the Corporation of Lloyd's), and Lloyd's Register of Shipping. The resulting joint Shipping Information Services is unique: no other service in the world possesses such a wealth and variety of up-to-date information in its computer files. And all this data, until now obtainable only in part by separate inquiries to both organizations, is available through a Shipping Information Centre in the heart of the City of London. The computer files contain a vast array of shipping information, both contemporary and historic. Some of the principle Files: Shipping movements-Voyage history file; Register Book File; New Construction File; Technical Records File; Casualty information and manual Files.
