BULK PORT PLANNING BY COMPUTER SIMULATION
The article describes the simulation program, the data used, and some port applications. Calculations are made for selecting the number of berths and the capacity of the system as a function of the vessel's waiting time. The examples illustrate the benefits of computer simulation to port planning.
