SEGMENTAL BRIDGE FOR LRT TRAINS IN EDMONTON

As part of its light rail transit system to the south side, the city of Edmonton has had a new bridge built across the North Saskatchewan River. The bridge is 600 m long and is a precast concrete segmental box girder type. The paper discusses the constraints imposed on the bridge design because of its crossing over environmentally sensitive areas.
