AN INTEGRATED COMPUTER MODELING ENVIRONMENT FOR REGIONAL LAND USE, AIR QUALITY, AND TRANSPORTATION PLANNING

This paper discusses Land use, Air quality and Transportation Integrated Modeling Environment (LATIME). LATIME is a simulation and computer modeling approach integrating mobile source emissions, land use allocation, and travel demand in greater Albuquerque, New Mexico. This computer modeling environment offers forecasting capability and combines it with a geographical and graphical interface. A Geographic Information System (GIS) and menu driven query system are both utilized in the model. The model is useful for developing policies based on comparative analysis.
