MAINTENANCE, THE KEY TO OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

The importance of a good record system in order to carry out efficient maintenance and repairs in a large fleet with various types of vessels is explained, and the cooperation of the designer, builder, repairer, operator and surveyor is emphasized. Some practical examples involving repairs and painting at sea, and in-water survey and cleaning are given. Order from: NSFI as No. 14528.
