SHIP AIRBORNE NOISE CONTROL
The U.S. Navy is faced with a problem of how to effectively provide engineering noise controls in new ship construction. Most serious ship airborne noise problems stem from compact packaging of high power machinery and equipment in close proximity to crew living spaces and watch stations. This paper provides a noise control plan to help reduce airborne noise in the new ship designs.
